毎日のお手入れについて

乾拭きや固く絞ったふきんでさっと拭くだけで十分です。水分をこぼしたり濡れた際には放置せず、すぐに拭き取ってください。 揮発性の溶剤等のご使用は変色の原因となりますのでご注意ください。

For everyday care

Simply wipe with dry or wet cloth tightly wrung out. In case of water spilling or dampened, wipe off immediately. Please note that the use of volatile solvents may cause discoloration.

ワックスによるメンテナンス方法

経年優化するKOMAの家具を永くお使いいただくために、1年に1~2回ワックスによるメンテナンスをお勧めしております。乾燥によるカサつきがメンテナンスのサインです。

1. ワックスを柔らかい布に適量とり家具に塗りこんでいきます。
2. 余分なワックスはしっかりと拭き取ります。
3. 使用後の布は放置せずに必ずたっぷりの水に浸してから捨ててください。植物油が含まれているので放置すると自然発火 の恐 れがあります。
4. 半日~1 日程乾燥させます。乾燥時間は季節や環境によって異なります。しっかり乾燥する前にご使用になると輪シミの原因となる場合がございます。
5. 気温などによりワックス成分が染み出してくることがありますので、ご使用の前にもう一度乾拭きを行なってください。

工房で使用しているワックスはKOMA shop online でもお求め頂けます。
キズやザラつきが気になるようでしたらサンドペーパー♯400、♯600 の順で、木目に沿うように全体をまんべんなく研磨してからワックスを塗りこむと新品同様の手触りになります。
2ヶ月に1度KOMAshopにてメンテナンスのワークショップを開催しております。初めての方や自信のない方も職人が直接レクチャー致します。
深いキズや凹みは無理に取り除かず、お気軽にご相談ください。職人による出張メンテナンスの他、新品同様に家具を蘇らせる仕上げ直し(工房での作業)、修理も承っております。

Maintenance using wax

For a life long use of KOMA furniture, we recommend applying wax once or twice a year. When you feel the dryness, apply wax as follows.

1. Dip a soft cloth in the wax, and apply to the furniture. 2. Thoroughly wipe the excess wax off the surface.
3. Natural oils dry and harden by absorbing oxygen, and this may lead to a danger of self- ignition. Oil-soaked cloths should therefore be stored in a bucket of water immediately after use.
4. Dry for 12 - 24 hours, depending on the weather and environment. Completely dry before using, as it will cause staining.
5. Depending on the temperature, some wax may soak out to the surface. Ensure that all unabsorbed oil has been completely wiped off before using.

You can also purchase the wax we use, at KOMA shop online.
If you notice a scratch or a rough surface, use sandpaper grit #400, then #600 along the grain of the wood. Apply wax after sanding, to restore to the original state.
Once in two months, we organize workshops for maintenance, so come and ask the craftsman for advice. For deeper scratches and dents, please feel free to contact us. We send our craftsman to your home or collect furnitures to professionally apply maintenance at our warehouse. We also take repair orders according to your needs.

椅子の使用上の注意

椅子を踏み台にしたり、椅子を傾け後ろ脚だけで座るなどの行為は想定外の負荷による破損や事故に繋がる場合があります。座る際はゆっくりと身体を椅子に預けるようにしてご使用ください。 椅子の座面を取り付けているボルトは木の収縮により緩む場合があります。定期的に締め直しをしてください。

Precautions for chairs

Standing up on the chair, or tilting your chair to sit on the back legs could lead to a damage or an accident from external weight. Slowly deepen your body into the chair when sitting down. Bolts holding the seat could loosen with the contraction of the wood. Regularly check the looseness and retighten.

テーブルの使用上の注意

KOMAのテーブルは通常のオイル仕上げよりも輪シミができにくいKOMA独自の仕上げを施しておりますが、鉄製のものやスチ ール缶などは特に輪シミができやすいので、コースターを使うなどお気をつけください。天板に熱い鍋等直接置かず、必ず鍋敷きをお使いください。ビニールクロスを長時間使用すると木の呼吸を妨げ、反りや割れ、変色等の原因となります。十分に乾燥した木を使用しておりますが、乾燥や湿気により反りや割れの根本原因である収縮と膨張の繰り返しています。暖房の熱や風が直接家具に当たらないように注意し、必要であれば加湿してください。テーブルの脚を取り付けているボルトは六角レ ンチで定期的に締め直しをしてください。

Precautions for tables

Even though we apply our original substrate layers on tables, which is less liable to stains than the standard oil coating, products made from iron and steel cans could easily cause stains. So be sure to use coasters for those occasions. Also, refrain from placing hot pans directly on the table, and always use pot stands.
Placing plastic tablecloths for a long period of time, could disturb respiration of the wood, and would cause warps, cracks, and discoloration.We use wood after completely drying the material, but with dryness and humidity, it repeats contraction and expansion that causes warps and cracks. Take care to move the furniture away from direct air of the heating system, and humidify if needed.
Regularly check the looseness of the leg joints to the table, and retighten with hexagonal wrench.

ウルトラスエード® のお手入れについて

日常のお手入れはブラシでホコリや付着物を取り除いてください。
定期的に掃除機でホコリを除去し、ぬるま湯で固く絞った布で拭き取るとさらに効果的です。
クッションのカバーなどは洗濯機で丸洗いが可能です。縮み等の原因となるので乾燥機は使用しないでください。
さらに綺麗な状態を保つために、人工スエード専用クリーナーで汚れを取り除き、防汚、撥水、撥油効果が生まれるプロテクターで保護するケアメンテナンスをお勧めしています。Textile MASTER® マイクロファイバーケアキットはKOMA shop online でもお求め頂けます。

Precautions for Ultra Suede®

For everyday care, use furniture brush to remove dust and affix.
Regularly remove dust with vacuum cleaner, or for better result, wipe with tightly wrung out cloth. Cushion covers could be washed in the washing machine, but do not use the dryer as it may cause shrinkage. For extra care, we recommend using artificial suede cleaner to remove stains, and to apply protector against stains, water, and oil.
