脚と天板はボルトで簡単に取りはずせるため、お引越しなどの際にも移動が容易です。
板と脚というシンプルな家具だからこそ徹底的にこだわりを詰め込んでいます。
木材は幅200ミリ以上で割れや節などの欠点がないものに限り、天板の完成度を決めると言ってもいい木目や色味の合わせは数十枚の中から選び抜ぬいて一枚の天板を作ります。そして、全て鉋による手作業で仕上げることで木材が本来持つ木目の美しさや柔らかさをを引き出しています。
ウレタンやラッカーで包むのではなく本来の木が持つ肌触りを最大限活かせる仕上がりになっています。
下地処理をすることでオイル仕上げの風合いのままメンテナンス性にも優れています。
KOMA's classic circular table, with legs joined directly to the tabletop, for a sharp and clean look. The gentle form of the tabletop, created with planes of a craftsman, characterize this piece. Legs are attached with bolts, which are easy to remove, and is convenient when relocating.
Because this is a simple furniture constructed with boards and legs, we pay attention to every little detail. Wood materials are picked from the ones with more than 200mm width, with no cracks or knots. The layout of the wood grains determine perfection of the tabletop, so the materials are carefully chosen from several dozens, for the best grains and coloring. Then it is shaped by craftsman using planes, to draw out the beauty and softness of the wood. We don't coat it with urethane or lacquer, but utilize the feel of the natural wood to maximum. Foundation processing is applied for easy maintenance, still keeping the texture of an oil finish.
